Ruffled/sheer/lacy lingerie and Jane Birkin. Sasha Pivovarova, sheer dresses, Lykke Li, Abbey LK, Wixson's lips and french braids also top the list. Happy Sunday! xx
My favorite collection so far from this week's haute couture shows in Paris. Filled with sheer and nude goodness, chiffon, tulle and silky materials. Models slinking down the runway in stuctured dress and long flowy dresses and skirts complete with ruffles. However, the two red outfits were quite random if you ask me, and if only there were more of the yellow toned skirts.
As much as every other blogger and I have been lusting and continuously ranting over wanting everything and anything in pink/blush tones, I have developed a new love for this pale mint green hue. I adore warmer tones, but it's about time that soft cool tones with the soon arrival of spring to deserve some love. Of course corals are still a fave.

"So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."
- Tuesdays With Morrie
Theoretically speaking this is a fashion blog, not where I fork out some philosophy nonsense. But this quote from the book, Tuesdays With Morrie, really stands its ground and I like sharing my favorite quotes. It's moments like these where I am happy to revive my love for literature (my form of escape). I am currently enrolled in my school's Contemporary Literature class and though sometimes school assigned reading becomes a chore (I'd rather read according to my own schedule), I can't help but become immersed in books with some raw content.
On a side note, this outfit is what I wore to my school's winter formal two weeks ago. Inspired by this post and the twenties. I bought the dress at the very last minute but fortunately this was the last one in my size. This dress has straps that you are able to slip off while leaving you the choices of having a strapless dress, one shoulder strap dress or with both straps. Of course I opted for the unconventional take.
I come to love anything that has to do with ruffled lace shorts, flowy off-shoulder white blouses, white little rompers, roses, Chloe looks, flapper style of the 1920's, denim and studs, Brigitte Bardot, beautiful silky pussybow blouses, Twiggy and fishtail braids.

This past week has been an extremely long week and it felt like it would never cease to end. In any case, today Jordana and I went downtown for a bit of ransacking for some hole-in-the-walls to lurk. We came upon this particularly cute boutique called Isabella with amazing vintage finds. The owner was exceptionally nice and unfortunately I forgot to take photos, but the next time I go I will be sure to share!
